Sébastien is an engineering consultant and part of the electro-mechanical team. Throughout his time at Team, he has successfully managed projects and held technical-lead roles in the development of complex medical systems. Sébastien’s “Joie de vivre” comes from helping clients taking a concept or an idea and turning it into a creative robust device, ready for market.
“The beauty of working in the medical device industry is the feeling of making a difference in the life of people through good design, rigorous engineering and creative thinking. Designing safety-critical medical systems, outside the obvious regulatory challenges, is a mind-set of its own. I cannot sleep at night until I know that our devices perform at 100% of their specifications.
Team has a wide variety of skills, personalities and experience, which means there is always the right person for the job.”
Sébastien focuses on embedded system development and electro-mechanical design and he has worked on designing numerous products for Team’s global client base. Recently, Sébastien has been heavily involved in the development of a normothermic liver transplant system for a UK start-up.
Throughout his experience at Team, he has worked on a wide range of medical devices from inhalers and auto-injectors to large-scale diagnostic systems. Sébastien has a strong interest in wireless connectivity for medical devices with a particular emphasis on home-care automation and intelligent systems that monitor patient vital signs while carrying on their normal lives. Most recently, Sébastien has been investigating the impact of smartphones as a mean to deliver an efficient platform for medical technologies. Sébastien has an MBA and a BEng(Hons) in electronic engineering as well as a Maths/Physics diploma.
