Sharlene works as the Head of Device Testing at Team Consulting. She leads the group with a clear vision and strategy, to provide clients with technical excellence and a laboratory test data output appropriate to their stage of the design and development process.

Sharlene has 14 years of experience at Pfizer in the research and development of devices, with auxiliary roles in laboratory operations, health and safety and controlled drugs licence management. She is a technical expert in x-ray CT and force testing as well as materials characterisation. She has worked extensively on design verification test programs and investigational studies for drug delivery devices, including test method development/validation, statistical analysis, sampling rationales, analytical control strategies and laboratory equipment validation. She has an educational background in medical materials science, with a BEng and MSc from Liverpool University, focused on clinical engineering and biocompatibility. Sharlene also has a CPGS from the University of Cambridge, where she researched biostability and the materials/sterile processes used for spinal disc replacement.
