Sahand joined Team Consulting in 2022 as a project manager. With over nine years of experience in the medical device industry, he is responsible for the line of communication between clients, partners and the business to ensure projects are delivered within the planned budget and timeline.
He joined Team from SLE, where he was responsible for delivering multidisciplinary projects on neonatal respiratory support products.
“I take a great pride in managing medical device development projects. There is no better feeling than knowing I have helped to improve someone’s quality of life. While I enjoy all aspects of my work, I think my favourite part of a project is working closely with the other stakeholders to understand their objectives and requirements. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow, the pieces come together and that’s always the fun part.”
Sahand holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems and a PhD in Medical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London, in which he worked on the design and development of a novel Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) device for patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).
