Wout is a member of Team’s software and electronics group, where he works on software across a variety of medical device development projects.
It is a real privilege, doing what we do at Team, using engineering skills to make a real difference in people’s lives.
I’m convinced that bringing technology into the context of the human body’s complexity creates the most interesting challenges. Tackling those makes a real team sport! Only a multidisciplinary effort and a good dose of creativity can help us realise impactful results.
Wout graduated from Imperial College London in 2024 with a first class Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Following this, he worked on projects in sensor technology with World Ability Sport, which was awarded an Old Centralians’ Trust Travel Award for testing at a Wheelchair Fencing World Cup, and in therapeutic ultrasound with an industry partner.
He also completed R&D internships in rehabilitation robotics and multimodal machine learning for breast cancer diagnostics.
