Team Consulting celebrates second Employee Ownership Day
Here at Team Consulting, we’re celebrating our second Employee Ownership Day (EO Day). We became an employee trust owned business in December 2016, meaning that all staff now have a stake in the business. Over the past 5 years Team has doubled in size, and we now have over 110 employee owners.
We’re proud to be part of the growing number of employee-owned businesses across the UK, and to celebrate we’ve run a number of different activities over the week leading up to EO Day itself, Friday 29th June. We’ve had races, ping pong tournaments, quizzes and a host of other competitions to get everyone working together, and celebrating our collective values and successes.
Dan Flicos, CEO, comments “Employee ownership is a great fit with Team’s values and culture, enabling us to build a shared vision for the company’s future with the certainty of being in control of our own destiny in perpetuity.”
We asked one of our newer employees, Sam Cayton, what being part of an employee owned business means to him:
“At Team you’re working for your own benefit and the benefit of those around you rather than just for a ‘big boss’, which is a great feeling to have.
…it’s clear that everyone’s thoughts and opinions matter, and I think being an employee owned company is a big part of that.
The emphasis on communication across all levels of the business at Team is one of the things that attracted me in the first place – it’s clear that everyone’s thoughts and opinions matter, and I think being an employee owned company is a big part of that.”
