Team Consulting’s Sebastien Cuvelier Mussalian, was last week selected as the winner of both the Design Engineer of the Year and overall Grand Prix at the 2013 British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs).

Presented at a ceremony in London, the Design Engineer of the Year award recognised his strong track record of developing complex products and of leading multi-disciplinary teams. In particular, his work as technical lead on OrganOx’s liver perfusion system, which Team developed. The judging panel were unanimous in selecting Sebastien for the overall Grand Prix – the first time this has happened in BEEA history.

I’m speechless, which doesn’t happen very often. I was happy to be nominated alongside some really strong engineers but to win it was such a surprise and honour” said Sebastien. “I was so caught up with the excitement of winning that award that I missed my name being called out moments later for the Grand Prix.”
