Medical device design – 3 tips for setting off on the ‘right’ path
Last week we kick-started conference season with the Medicon Valley Inhalation Symposium (MVIS) in Lund, Sweden. If you attended the conference, you have probably heard Charlotte Harris’ presentation on challenges in medical device design. If you couldn’t attend, here is what you have missed (in brief!):
#1 Charlotte emphasised on the importance of holding discussions with a diverse team of stakeholders to gain consensus at the start of the project.
#2 The second tip was to research what you don’t know. Can you fully understand patients? Do you know enough about your competitors and your market?
#3 Finally, Charlotte stressed that for successful medical device design it is important to keep an open mind and use tools that can stimulate creative thinking.
