Team Consulting is an employee-owned, award-winning device design and development consultancy. We focus solely on medical devices, supporting international clients from large pharmaceutical companies to start ups. As part of the project management team, you will be working within our 13th Century barn in the Cambridge countryside, 5 mins from the M11.

Our clients come to us for all stages of medical device development. By combining our expertise and experience in design, engineering, and human factors, we help our clients develop medical devices from early concept through to commercial launch.

What you will be doing:

Supporting the project manager with the following:

  • project start-up, close down and archiving
  • on-boarding of new project team members
  • tracking project costs, forecasting, reporting and associated administration

Supporting project teams with the following:

  • coordinating and recording the output of meetings
  • booking travel
  • project book administration
  • data input
  • document formatting, control and filing
  • change control tasks
  • Procurement for project team members and materials control

What we need from you:

  • good level of academic achievement to A’ Level or equivalent
  • good level of administrative skills
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • experience of working in a fast-paced company requiring diligence and accuracy
  • excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • someone who uses their initiative, is proactive, and takes responsibility
  • able to work effectively in close collaboration with other project administrators and members of project teams
  • highly experienced user of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel (including basic formulae) and PowerPoint
  • experienced in using SharePoint
  • numerate and familiar with basic financial documentation e.g. purchase orders, invoicing
  • ability to work with clients and suppliers

Desirable but not essential:

  • project administration in a consulting or services environment
  • experience in an environment with a Quality Management System
  • ability to manage complex document flows
  • ability to work on a number of different projects or tasks at any one time, manage own time effectively and manage conflicting priorities
  • capable of supporting planning and costing activity and monitoring project budgets and activities against project plan
  • experience in using advanced planning, visualisation and presentation tools, e.g. MS Project
