Team Consulting, the Cambridge-based global authority on medical device development, has won two Red Dot awards – the most prestigious international awards for product design. The awards were for two products designed for its client Actegy Health: Aerosure™, a respiratory trainer helping people with respiratory disorders breathe easier; and Revitive LV™, the latest in their Revitive circulation booster range.

This recent success for Team Consulting adds to the Red Dot award that Team won last year for Revitive IX, also for Actegy Health. The Red Dot Judges received 4,662 entries into the awards this year and the win puts Team in the same category as household names like Apple, Nike, LG, BMW and Porsche whose efforts have also been recognised by the judges.

Revitive LV was chosen for its captivating shape and easily identifiable control system whilst Aerosure was selected for its ability to convey comfort and friendliness through design. Commenting on the award, Team’s Director of Design Paul Greenhalgh said: “Our clients want to do great things and be recognised for outstanding products. As a multi-award winning consultancy we give them that opportunity. Last year’s success was a high for us and our client, so to win a further two awards this year, despite the tough competition, just proves that we are a leader in the design and development of medical devices.”

Actegy Health’s CEO, Josh Penny adds: “We want our customers to love our products. Even though they are for treating medical conditions it is important that they don’t alienate people or make them feel embarrassed, so the design is as important as the benefits that they deliver. Being able to say that these three products have won awards for design helps us stand head and shoulders above our competitors.”

Revitive LV: “Revitive LV has a captivating circular shape, which is reflected in the controls. The control system is further accentuated by its bright colour scheme.

Aerosure: “The colour accents, rounded edges and pleasant, easy-to-grip size of this respiratory trainer convey comfort and friendliness.
