Company update

We have launched ‘Team AR’ a free augmented reality mobile app, which can be downloaded from both Apple and Android app stores. It is an essential accessory if you want to get the full engaging experience from Team’s marketing initiatives. To download it, search for ‘Team AR’ on your phone, tablet or PC.

Augmented reality provides, through the screen of a smartphone, tablet or PC, a live view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated content such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. Team’s app is based on the industry-standard Aurasma AR technology.

This new app forms an important part of Team’s visual identity and market position. It enables us to show off our creative flair, provide a really enjoyable experience for our clients and friends, as well as have a bit of fun and express our personalities” said Neil Cooper, head of marketing at Team. “Our clients come back to us again and again because of who we are as individuals and as a group. They don’t want to deal with bland corporate entities, they want personality and spark. The app is just one way we can show this creative spark.”

“The first example is our Insight magazine which includes an interview with David Robinson on our recent Red Dot award success. As well as profiling it in the magazine we can also allow people to watch an interview with David as they read the magazine. This isn’t just it though. Our new business cards make full use of augmented reality and we will be modifying the content to deliver personal messages to our contacts on an on-going basis.”

The role of mobile devices and apps is an active area of interest for Team. We are currently investigating how mobile apps could help patients to use their medical devices correctly – whether that is providing reminders, tracking self-medication, providing support, animating instructions for use (IFUs) or even providing the interface between patient and the product. You can read a blog post on our views on regulation and you can expect to see and read more over the coming months.
