It’s a big year for Team Consulting! We’re marking ten years as an employee‑owned trust consultancy in the same year we celebrate our 40th anniversary. From life-saving solutions to billion-dollar innovations, being 100% employee-owned – and financially independent – means we’re able to consistently deliver results for our clients driving the future of medical technology. OrganOx metra – a billion-dollar innovation

Our client OrganOx, a University of Oxford spin-out, achieved ‘unicorn’ status after being acquired by Terumo for $1.5bn, a landmark MedTech exit in UK history. OrganOx partnered with us to transform its idea into a world-first, fully autonomous medical system to keep livers healthy and viable outside the body during transplant, taking their initial concept all the way through to successful launch.

An award-winning breakthrough in personalised medicine – leon-nanodrugs

LEON challenged us to develop an easy-to-use nanoencapsulation system that enables back-to-back aseptic manufacturing for personalised medicine with reliable quality. We helped them translate their technology into a prototype instrument – the NANOme® – which drastically improves the standard for producing sterile personalised nanoformulations, while also removing any risk for cross-contamination of the batches.

NANOme® has since received an iF Design Award for its novel design and potential to impact patient lives.

The world’s first all-in-one hearing health system – TympaHealth

We helped TympaHealth, a hearing health start-up, to turn its concept into a commercially successful product that has since impacted almost half a million patient lives. The hearing health assessment system has been awarded a Gold UX Design Award, Silver DBA Design Effectiveness Award, Good Design Award and iF Design Award, recognising its design, ease of use and patient impact.

Developing the Tympa system with Team has been really positive, we’ve been working together for many years now. What I’ve enjoyed is that they really have stayed true to my vision of what I wanted the Tympa system to become.

Working with an NHS surgeon to address a clinical challenge

We worked with Duncan Light, a former Upper GI Surgeon, to tackle the challenge of reduced visibility and laparoscope cleaning during surgery. We helped him create a low-cost, consumable device concept which enables simple and effective cleaning of laparoscopes.

I thoroughly enjoyed my participation with Team Consulting. It was a real privilege to work with an experienced team of engineers and designers to share ideas on solving a common problem in laparoscopic surgery. Award-winning drug delivery innovation with AstraZeneca

In 2024 and 2025, we won two consecutive PDA Drug Delivery Partnership Innovation Awards with our client AstraZeneca. The award, presented at the PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes conference, recognises technical innovations in the field of drug delivery as well as effective collaboration.

The PDA award is super exciting and I‘m really happy with the learning tool we’ve built together with Team Consulting. We know patients can feel overwhelmed when starting a new therapy and so we wanted to create a simple, elegantly built digital guide which could be accessed directly from the product packaging … right at a time when patients need this information most.
