From a fully connected PoC diagnostic platform to a smartphone-enabled otoscope, we’ve helped both start-ups and the largest pharmacos develop award-winning products that are improving people’s lives. Here are just a few the latest projects we’ve worked on:
Founded in 2014, LumiraDx developed a diagnostic Platform that supports a broad range of tests with lab-comparable performance. We supported LumiraDx with the development of their PoC Platform, which is aimed at transforming community-based healthcare and making lab-comparable tests accessible to all.
The device has since been applauded by Bill Gates as “amazing”, highlighting how “countries can take it out to remote areas and get the results in just 12 minutes.”
We helped start-up Tympa Health develop the world’s first all-in-one hearing health system, taking their initial concept through to industrialisation. The smartphone-enabled otoscope has already been used to improve access to hearing healthcare across the UK and beyond, earning several industry awards including Gold in the UX Design Awards, a Good Design Award, iF Design Award and Royal Society of Medicine Award.
OrganOx, a MedTech start-up from Oxford University, came to Team to help them develop an automated, transportable liver perfusion device. The performance-critical medical device allows liver transplants to be preserved for up to 24 hours, providing real-time data for the surgeon to assess the viability of the liver prior to surgery.
Since its launch, the metra has helped save over 1,000 lives and has won numerous industry awards, including a Medawar Medal, MedTech Insight Award and a MacRobert Award nomination.
