Team Celebrates 20 Years in
Product Design and Development
Cambridge, UK, 21st November 2006 – Team,
product development specialist for the medical
and pharmaceutical industries, celebrates 20
years of success this month. Founded in November
1986, Team has worked with a wide range of companies,
from local start-ups to multinational companies
such as Pfizer, sanofi-aventis and Novartis.
The company has more than 800 design and consultancy
projects from some 250 customers under its belt
and has averaged 18% annual growth in turnover
in recent years.
Team Consulting helps pharmaceutical and medical
device clients at all stages of the product development
process and has eight of the ten largest pharmaceutical
companies amongst its client base. Team has worked
on a wide range of highly innovative product
developments including inhalers for diabetics
and asthmatics, injection systems, safety packaging
for the EpiPen® injector and an optical high-throughput
screening system.

Earlier this year the revolutionary OptyseTM
lens-free ophthalmoscope, designed and developed
by Team, was a winner at the International Saatchi
and Saatchi Awards for ‘World Changing
Ideas’. The OptyseTM was invented by Roger
Armour, a retired surgeon from Stevenage and
is being marketed by Ophthalmos Ltd.
