In his role as senior consultant, Ben specialises in programme management and the hands on development of innovative medical devices. Ben has a passion for leading user centric design and development and is involved in all stages of the development process from project management and product strategy through to manufacture and design verification.

“What’s important to me is building client relationships and delivering successful development projects. A successful development for me balances all the demands of medical devices such as high volume manufacture, tightly regulated, high integrity designs that require market foresight, design flair, creativity, engineering rigour and a deep understanding of user needs with the constraints of commercial demands and client needs. As a result I believe in a holistic and balanced approach to device design.

At Team we are passionate about medical device development and we care about what our clients are trying to achieve. I’m privileged to work in a company where we have such a diverse range of skills and talents and where we all respect each other’s disciplines throughout the design process. This allows us to take this holistic approach which produces fantastic results. It’s one of the reasons why I’ve worked here for the past eight years.”

Ben joined Team in early 2004. With his experience in medical device development, Ben has led the design or programme management of many products including auto-injectors, novel injection systems, surgical equipment, nasal delivery devices, consumer medical devices, ocular delivery devices, diagnostic equipment, and large purpose built clinical trial systems with macro fluidics handling. Ben graduated from the University of Teesside in 2003 with a degree in Industrial Design.
